Glitter Play Dough

Today it was cold and wet and my daughter has a bit of a cold so we decided to skip the playground this morning, stay in our pajamas and make glitter play dough. Making homemade play dough it so much easier than you would think and your child can help which makes them appreciate the play dough so much more.
To make our play dough, we always use this recipe that I found on Aparment Therapy years ago. The only change is that we usually add a few drops of lavender oil to make it smell nice and I always mix the colors in on a well-floured surface because I find it's a bit sticky straight out of the pot. The floured surface is also a lot of fun for my daughter to play in. We also add glitter, lots and lots of glitter. The great thing about glitter play dough is that the glitter stays in the play dough so you have all the fun of glitter without the mess. Woo Hoo! Whip up a batch today and make sure you don’t give it to your kids all at once, that way you will have a secret weapon for the cold days ahead.
