Star Pillow from an Old Sweater

Posted on May 24, 2013 by Shawna Chandler | 0 comments

Here's a project for those of you with a sewing machine, and old sweater and an hour or so to spare.

You can make your own star pattern like I did by cutting five triangles of the same size out of paper and taping them together.  Pin your pattern to the sweater and cut around it through both layers of sweater. Sew using your smallest stitch.  Don't forget to leave about 4 inches open for turning the star right side out and stuffing!  After filling it with fiber fill  you can use a needle and thread to stitch up the opening.   I used a back stitch and thin yarn to sew a face onto our little friend.  Super easy and super fast!
