Good Habits Interactive Chart

We have been using this Good Habits Interactive Wall Chart in our home for a couple of months now. It comes with preprinted "jobs" and blank stickers to make your own jobs. Some of the the jobs on our chart include; getting dressed, brushing teeth and helping to clear the table. Once the job is completed, the child gets to turn the knob and it says it says things like "good job" or "fantastic".

I would be lying if I said it worked like a charm straight away because she really didn't care about it. But recently two things happened; she turned 3 and we started paying her for completing the chart every day (just a few dimes) and now she is so into it. Before she went to bed last night, she went through the whole chart and turned the knobs she had completed without being prompted. She was even really honest about the ones she had not completed.  I love this chart - I think it makes her feel more in control of her life and as a result, battles over things like getting dressed and going to bed have lessened which any parent of a 2-3 year old knows is a miracle!
